Used to be really good, steak quality and size has degraded, food portions have become smaller, steak was no longer eye fillet, it was served cold with no difference between med rare and my partners med, pepper sauce was served on the side cold aswell. The vegetables were just warm and not cooked in my opinion the only thing hot was the chips but there were only 12 of them. Disappointing really I used to be a regular and wanted to be one again, when I asked the waitress about the oysters if they had and bluff oysters in she said yes they are from nz. I really hope it was a bad night for them.

The best lamb steak ever! I ordered Rank of Lamb with medium. It was juicy, soft and remarkable. The side was fries. I put them in the oil from the lamb. How great. I really loved this restaurant. Whenever I visit Auckland I'm sure to come here again.

DINNER in Tony’s Lord Nelson restaurant was so great!!Staff was so kind, she was amazing!! fillet steak was so delicious. Staff was so kind, she was amazing!!I’m so glad there’s wonderful and nice this restaurant in Auckland!!

The quality of the food here was superb. Amazing steak. The steak came with one choice of side, which was nice. Got the camembert as an entree, this was yummy but had slightly too much apricot jam with it otherwise amazing. Service could have been a bit better. Would highly reccomend if looking for quality food. The vibe inside is nice and dark dining as well which I enjoyed.

The place was much bigger than I thought, quite suitable for large group / family dinner. Many choices included in the menu, you can always find something you like among all the options. The steaks are cooked very well, decent sizes. The salmon steak was good, but apart from that, other seafood choices were a little bit weak, I would recommend you stick with the meat choices. We ordered a lot, really a lot-- but we didnt have to wait that long before all are served. So that was good. Overall it is a quite good steak house.
